Modern Films

THE BRIEF: Identify brand touchpoint opportunities.

This session was tailored for Modern Films, the distributor behind Drive My Car and Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman. Modern had expanded its team and, therefore, it was an opportunity to reflect and understand the brand as the company poised for expansion. Modern Films had already started their purpose and values work, and we were able to facilitate a conversation around cementing the values and what those behaviours looked like. We developed the behaviours into how those would be communicated on a B2B level with sales agents, producers and film executives to B2C for their customer base and to create loyalty as part of their engagement funnel.

The brand day with Mustard Studio helped to unite the team, consolidate thinking and gave us the foundation to think about our audience and offer.

We also looked into how to develop their brand with their audience. Modern Films has developed its first-party comms through their editorial The Modern Line, a cultural collage of conversations with talent from the Modern Films slate, connecting current filmmakers and releases with previous ones.
